E.S.COLLEGE OF NURSING

E.S. College of Nursing is a herald that E.S. Charities has extended its devotion to the young aspirants to realize their dream of becoming a nurse. The year 2007 envisaged the cherished ideas come true in the form of establishment. In 2008, E.S. College of Nursing started running with a few number of students and faculty at TACW premises in Villupuram. ESCON at present boasts about 603 students pursuing six different courses. The college has been duly APPROVED by GOVT OF TAMILNADU recognized by INC and TNMC, and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, DPH & DME. The Shantha Medical Foundation owned E.S College of Nursing, enters its 15^th year and promises its commitment forever. The only college in Villupuram district which is a  fully-fledged nursing institution having PG program that will take nursing to the next level. Our college owns 300 bedded hospital providing the best exposure to students. Besides it is also affiliated to a 650 bedded hospital which furthur enhances the exposure. A team of experienced administrators and teachers, state-of-the-art infrastructure, green campus, well-equipped laboratories and library, tie- up with major hospitals, comfortable transportation and hostel make our college an easy choice.

         The green color in the logo brings to frame the portrait of a women which denoting the positive and pleasant feeling. Orange color symbolizes sacrifice, the innate quality of a nurse giving warmth and wellbeing to the life of patients, thus preparing to serve the people of the society to acquire a sense of being health for life.The flame depicts nurse’s preparedness to work at any hour of the day. It also denotes alphabets E.S.which is our college name.

PHILOSOPHY

The faculty of the E.S. College of Nursing believes in providing nursing education that is built on scientific principles, sound educational theory and practice. Our graduates with experience can rapidly move into leadership positions in nursing education, nursing services and administration.

We believe in promoting all round development of the students with special emphasis on humility, morality, intelligence and spirituality which are expected of a professional nurse who will also be a valuable citizen and an effective “agent for change” in an ever changing society.

We at E.S. College of Nursing believe that we have the responsibility to provide education to those who have the potential and the motivation to become educators, administrators, clinical specialists and research workers on par with the constant demands of the society and who will be able to contribute towards professional excellence by confronting the issues and challenges encountered in the nursing profession today.
