Eligibility Criteria

1 DGNM Minimum: 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission. Maximum: 35 years Passed 12th with 40% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST)
  No age limit ANM candidates (10+ 11/2 years of training) should have passed +2 or its equivalent.
2 B. Sc(Nursing) Minimum 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission. Passed 12th with 45% of marks in science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or) Botany & Zoology & English); 35% of marks in English is essential. 5% relaxation for SC / ST as per INC
3 P.B.B.Sc (Nursing) No age limit a) Passed DGNM and registered in TNC b) Male nurse candidate registered with state nurses registration council shall produce evidence of having been trained in anyone of the requisite training approved by INC for duration of 6 months in lieu of Midwifery.
4 ANM No age limit Passed 12th standard
5 DMLT No age limit Passed in 12th standard with science subject. (Or) Students of vocational group with Lab Technician as a paper in 12th standard.

Additional Requirements for Admission
  • Candidates from states other than Tamil Nadu should obtain Eligibility certificate from The Tamil Nadu DR. MGR Medical University, Chennai and the same should be produced at the time of admission.
  • Candidates from states other than Tamil Nadu should produce Migration Certificate from the University / Board where last studied and the same should be produced at the time of admission.
  • Medical fitness certificate should be obtained from E.S. Hospital
