JOURNAL CLUB

A journal club serves three purposes:

    • Teach and develop critical appraisal skills,
    • Increase exposure to rapidly evolving medical literature and
    • Help in informed clinical practice.
  • They facilitate better knowledge and literature awareness through group discussion with peers.
  • They provide a unique opportunity to promote interest in research while learning from experts about knowledge gaps and future research questions.
  • A member from faculty is appointed as a journal club secretary who ensures that every department in turn make a presentation on the newer trends in their specialty.
