The founder Mr.E.Swamikannu, renowned educationalist, started the E.S. Charities in the year 1983, to promote education in the backward district of Villupuram, which resulted in the blooming of the following institutes having a prolific number of students. The students who have passed out of the ES institutions are employed across the country in various organizations. About 11000 students are being educated this year through E.S. Group of Institutions.

E.S College of Nursing
E.S. College of Nursing is a herald that E.S. Charities has extended its devotion to the young aspirants to realize their dream of becoming a Nurse as if anyone in the world does. The year 2007 envisaged the cherished ideas come true in the form of establishment. In 2008, E.S. College of Nursing was started to run with a few number of students and faculty at TACW premises in Villupuram. ESCON at present boasts about 650 students pursuing five different courses. The college has been duly recognised by INC and TNC. The Shantha Medical Foundation owned E.S. College of Nursing has to enter on its Thirteenth year of progress and promises its commitment forever. The college is, at present being a full-fledged Nursing Institution, running a M.Sc(N), P.B.B.Sc(N), B.Sc(N), DGNM & ANM Courses. The ESCON college is a fully digitalized campus in which details of every student can be obtained by a click of a button.
