Aim

To prepare graduates as a specialist in the area of obstetrical and gynecological nursing

Objectives

  • To appreciate the concept and principles of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing.

  • To acquire in depth knowledge and skills in child bearing, rearing and family welfare program.

  • To recognize the trends and issues in Midwifery and Obstetrical and Gynecological Nursing.

  • To describe the assessment and management of normal and high risk antenatal, postnatal and new born.

  • To prepare the graduates in rendering optimum nursing care to child bearing mother in a hospital or community.

  • Safe Motherhood Day - April 12th

  • Midwives day -  May 5th

  • Breast feeding week celebration - August 1st week

  • Woman's day - March 8th
